Minimum of 10 years practical and administrative experience in Refinery process units.
Requires expert knowledge of refinery operations especially with furnace/heaters.
Must be a clear thinker with considerable administrative and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated, exercise initiative, strong team player with strong leadership qualities. Must have good influencing/persuasive skills to rally support from various teams in the refinery.
Preferably an Energy Best Practice Champion or having had past experience in energy improvement programs in the process industry.
Must be familiar with FH&S standards of the company and operating as well as environmental procedures as required under Environment Management System (EMS) in all the energy initiatives being carried out.
No direct supervision received in carrying out normal responsibilities. Major plans and schemes are reviewed with Manager OPD South, prior to implementation. In emergency or unusual conditions, is expected to make and implement remedial measures and to initiate any follow up required. Responsibility for the position is complete and continuous
