The database administrator will be responsible for the implementation and administration of databases and supporting hardware. Additionally, the database administrator will perform maintenance and operational support activities for the databases and associated applications including end user support.
Proven skills and experience installing, configuring, monitoring, and administrating Oracle databases in a UNIX environment.
Proven experience performing database related activities as part of the software development project such as database architecture & design, data modeling, object/relational mapping, schema design/implementation, performance tuning, and reporting.
Proven experience consulting/designing, implementing, and maintaining multi-server, multi-instance database environments requiring monitoring/management of hardware and software resources (E.g. storage space, back-ups, ETL)
Proven UNIX and scripting skills (SuSe and Linux)
Proven PL/SQL Scripting Skills
Proven Data Architecture and data modeling skills
Prior Application Development Experience
Proven experience with Data migration (sql*loader, PL/SQL, imp/impdp, exp/expdp)
Proven experience with High availability / standby environments (Data Guard / GoldenGate)
Proven skills in RMAN
