Responsible for all functions associated with database administration, management, and support of the databases.
Install and maintain databases including security, back-up, logging, reporting, trouble shooting, and recovery procedures
Assist with tuning complex application SQL queries with multi-level joins.
Create and review installation and upgrade scripts
Work closely with development teams monitoring and troubleshooting database processes.
Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data maintenance tasks
Manage installs and setup configurations
Collaborate with the application development staff to develop and implement application DB changes.
Assist with analytical troubleshooting support during production outages.
Minimum 3 to 7 years hands-on experience with Oracle 10g or 11g DBMS.
Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience with performance tuning complex queries.
Sybase 15 & DB2 for z/OS 9.1+ experience desired but not required.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Position Requirements: Must have good analytic problem solving skills.
Occasional weekend and off-hours support.
Must be self-starter, able to work both independently and within a team environment.

Collaborate and participate in development review sessions and work closely as a member of the development team.
