Urgent Opening for Dy Import Manager, 5 - 10 years exp, Mumbai

Objective of Post :

Dy Import Manager

Import Clearances of Raw Material/PM/CG/Intermediates/ Courier Imports . Reconcialtion and monitoring of credit

Ensuring cost effective & timely availability/supply of import material for at location & & Inventory Management

Liaisoning with statutory authorities Me ADC, Customs, DGFT & DCGI, New Deihl

Responsibilities :

Communication / correspondence /Follow-up with overseas supplier Or their Indian agents for import shipment & documentation

Developing alternate, cost effective & quality conscious import suppliers

Timely communication to Treasury/Finance department for forecasting of import fund allocation

To verify & analysis of all import documents for smooth & speedy custom clearance

Preparation of Letter of Credit & all banking documentation/formalities

Monitoring & proper utilization of import licences to minimize the net landed cost of import

Optimizing international freight by evaluating C&F v/s FOB, Ex-work

Preparation of Import Statement, MIS Report, Import data Analysis

Application to DCGI for obtaining Test Licence, Form-10 licence to import clearance of pharmaceutical samples & API

Communication & Co-ordination with Internal Departments

Marketing Managers- API 8. Formulation divisions for Import allocation

Purchase, Advance Licensing & Operation dept.

Accounts & Finance dept.

Kilo Lab, Formulation Development & AMD dept. at Rabale R&D

Goa plant I & II, Patalganga, Baddi, Waluj & Spa Rabale

Communication & Co-ordination with External Departments

Clearing Agents & Transporter

Freight Forwarders, Airlines & Shipping co , Bank , Government Authorities

Key Result Areas

Planning and Timely clearences of Imports of RM/PM/CG/chemicals & consumables (Planning 10-12 days

before arrival of material, Clearence: 5 Days after arrival of material)

Inventory Control at Warehouses

Identifying & negotiating with Freight forwarding companies to optimize logistics cost & improve on service

level (2 Days dispatch of material)

Follow-up with CHA & Transporters ( 2 Days before arrival of matenal)

To Liaise with various Govt. Authorities. likes Custom, ADC, DCGI.

Set up of the SOP's on Import Clearences and Implementation in Co-ordination with Purchase, planning and

marketing team.

Set up of SOP's for CHA's and implementation

Development of Import module in co-ordination with IT team

Initiative in forming monthly meeting between Purchase and Import team to substantiate the process Knowledge sharing with colleagues

Align interdepartmental co-ordination
