Import Purchase preparation planning , order sheet preparation
Accuracy for Goods in transit report
PO vs dispatch data, followup for balance part
Lead time awareness, implications and importance
Should able speak /write with overseas suppliers
Procurement of raw material or imported parts, components from global suppliers.
Send weekly orders or schedules/forecast to various suppliers through SAP/ ERP
Follow up with supplier for the dispatches.
Follow up with shipping lines to track the shipments.
Co-ordinate with imports custom clearance team for critical shipments.
Track the pipeline shipments.
Give shipment-wise priority plan to custom clearance team.
Ensure the customs clearance on time.
Ensure the shipment should reach at warehouse as per schedule.
To avoid production loss, generate weekly, monthly shortage report.
Make the supplier-wise delivery performance/schedule adherence.
Customs duty upload in SAP.
During emergency send the air order and ensure timely availability at warehouse.
Maintain budgeted inventory levels.
Ensure zero line stoppages .
Co-ordinate for the engineering change with Engineering Change Management team.
Control obsolescence due to engineering change, model/variant phase out.
Control Premium freight cost within budgeted levels.
Knowledge of CVD , IBD , MIRO and other import purchase.
